Maths Daily Helper ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted maths practice tool at app.mathsdailyhelper.com and this website. This page explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with — in plain language, not legal boilerplate.
What we collect
- Account details. Email address and password, handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). We never see or store your raw password.
- Practice activity. Problems you generate and solve, your streak, hints and solutions viewed, and full exam papers you attempt — stored in Firestore (Google Cloud) so your progress persists across sessions.
- Photos and PDFs you upload. If you upload a photo or PDF of a problem for the "Ask Anything" feature, it's sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response and is not separately stored by us afterward.
- Payment information, if you upgrade. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the plan you purchased — we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.
- Free-trial usage, if you use the app without an account. To keep the free trial fair, we store a one-way hash of your IP address (never the IP itself) together with a count of how many trial problems you've used. This can't be reversed back into your IP or used to identify you.
- Email, if you request the free worksheet pack. Submitted through our email service provider, Brevo, to send you the download and occasional related emails. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
- Basic usage analytics. This marketing site uses privacy-focused analytics (GoatCounter) that don't use cookies or track you individually. The app itself uses Streamlit's built-in, anonymous usage statistics.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that make the product work, and only what each one needs to do its job:
- Anthropic (Claude API) — to generate problems, hints, solutions, and respond to uploaded questions.
- Google Firebase — authentication and database hosting for your account and practice history.
- Razorpay — payment processing for paid plans.
- Brevo — email delivery for the free worksheet pack and related communications.
- Railway and Cloudflare — infrastructure hosting for the app and website.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Your account and practice history are kept for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time (see below) and we will remove your profile, stats, and solved-problem history from our systems.
Your choices
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing the address below.
- Unsubscribe from worksheet/email communications via the link in any email.
- Use the guest trial without creating an account at all — no email required.
Children's use
Maths Daily Helper is built for students, including school-age children, typically used under a parent's or teacher's guidance. We collect the minimum needed to run the product (an email and practice history) and do not knowingly use children's data for advertising.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Maths Daily Helper after a change means you accept the updated policy.
